Description
The 2018 Western Canada Immunization Forum is an opporuntity to share scientific, policy, and operational lessons learned and to inform the planning and delivery of immunization programs in Western Canada. This year's forum will be of interest to public health professionals and immunization staff, and primary care practitioners including immunizing pharmacists.
This 1 day meeting will be held in plenary format, with four presentations in the morning (on the new zoster vaccine, expanded use of pneumococcal vaccines, immunization during pregnancy, and vaccine hesitancy). The afternoon session will consist of four panels with time for discussion on the following topics: approaches to vaccine hesitancy, improving vaccine uptake, addressing immunization needs of special populations, and examples of immunization research conducted in BC/ Western Canada.
This day will be an opportunity to be updated on current issues in immunization, engage with your peers, and view posters on a variety of immunization and vaccine preventable disease topics. A callout for poster submissions will be issued in the fall.
